Our symbol
At ECH Jewelry, nothing is left to chance.
Our emblem — the Fly — is a deliberate, thoughtful choice.
A figure steeped in cultural and artistic meaning.
Often dismissed as insignificant, the fly embodies life’s fragility, the passing of time, and the quiet force of transformation.
It symbolizes regeneration, adaptation, persistence — a form of strength that doesn’t shout but survives.
It invites us to rethink beauty.
Not as perfection, but as presence. Bold. Evolving. True.
Our symbol
The fly is one of the oldest symbols of resilience.
In Ancient Egypt, golden fly-shaped amulets were placed in royal tombs and awarded to warriors — not just for triumph, but for endurance and return.
They honored the courage that doesn’t fade and the will that carries on.
At ECH, we’re drawn to that same spirit — as a mark of inner strength, freedom, and unwavering identity.
Since the Renaissance, the fly has found its way into paintings that broke with tradition.
In Portrait of a Woman (c.1470), attributed to Hans Memling, it lands on a flawless white veil — a subtle disruption in a scene of ideal beauty.
In The Man of Sorrows (c.1490) by Giovanni Santi, it hovers near the body of Christ — a reminder of pain, decay, and fleeting time.
In Madonna and Child (c.1480) by Carlo Crivelli, it intrudes into the sacred — unexpectedly, irreverently.
Later, in still lifes by Jacob van Hulsdonck — like the one we share here — the fly appears among fruit and flowers, hinting that beauty too has an ending.
These are not accidents. The fly disturbs — and reveals.
At ECH, that tension is what moves us.
It sparks thought. It gives form to feeling.
In the 20th century, the fly takes on new meanings: intuition, obsession, decline.
In The Persistence of Memory (1931) by Salvador Dalí, it rests on a melting clock — tiny but haunting. Time itself, unraveling.
It shows up in The Fly (1928) by Joan Miró, in Picasso’s Flies series (1945), and in Damien Hirst’s A Thousand Years (1990), where a glass case becomes a theater of life and death — with the fly at its center.
Each of these works amplifies the symbolism of a creature that refuses to disappear.
At ECH, we see ourselves in that same figure — one that endures by changing.
Our symbol
The fly draws us in not for how it looks — but for what it stands for:
Strength. Freedom. Presence.
A way of being that is instinctive, unapologetic, alive.
Loyal to itself, even when the world shifts.
In our pieces, the fly isn’t an ornament — it’s the essence.
By turning it into jewelry, we celebrate its singularity and what it carries.
A presence that transforms the fleeting into the lasting.
A beauty that doesn’t flatter or pretend — it remains true.
